About our guest
Ugandan Pastor Umar Mulinde
Pastor Umar Mulinde is a walking miracle. Growing up in a Muslim Ugandan family, Islamic elders recognized his leadership qualities and set out to mentor him to become a Sheik. After a transformative encounter with the Lord Jesus, terrorists targeted him to renounce his faith. On Christmas Eve2011, his love for the Lord Jesus, for Israel, and Gospel outreach to Muslims resulted in a life-threatening attack when terrorists poured acid on his face and back while they chanted Allah-Akbar, “God is great.” The acid burned him to near death yetGod intervened providing two-years of specialized treatment in Israel.
Most acid attack survivors are forced to give up their education and occupation yet Pastor Umar is now a compelling international speaker whose life story inspires his listeners to stand firm in the faith despite persecution. His message is driven by a clarion call for the church in America to stand up for persecuted Christians around the world. His messages and preaching also focus on revival in Africa, the root causes of Islamic terrorism, the global Islamic agenda, and Christian's responsibility to stand with Israel. His ministry in Uganda includes discipling Muslim con verts, caring for orphans, andequipping leaders with practical advocacy, development, and care for persecuted believers.
A note from our Pastor...
You probably have heard me say that we can never out give God. The more we give, the more he gives. And it seems that whatever we give always multiplies not only in our hands but also in the hands of others. If you have been with us lately, you have an idea of what has been happening with our giving in the past few weeks. One gift unleashed potential and opportunity. A few weeks back after our church received an unexpected blessing, we reached out to a church plant in our district, Wayfinders Church. As I spoke with Pastor Todd, lead Pastor of this church, he told me how a gift we sent to them after we were blessed, helped them pay for 400 backpacks that they had bought for children in need in their community. Isn't that what giving is about? Your gift multiplies, and ends up blessing people that we could never reach if it wasn't for the church. All to say, thank you for your faithfulness in giving, and your commitment to the local church. Together we are changing lives literally all around the world. I hope to see you soon!
