Each day that goes by I am more convinced that God is on the move. In fact, he has always been on the move. He is always advancing and never static. Sure, at times it may seem like he is letting things unfold on their own so that we may learn to wait on him but that’s nothing if you compare a day with eternity and he is still in control.
And because God is constantly moving, lives are constantly being changed. I believe that the purpose of the gospel, the good news of salvation, is to change lives. And in order to be transformed, we must be rescued. Without God in our lives we are all headed to an eternity without hope. But Jesus Christ came to restore our hope and to make us new again.
In a couple of weeks we will begin a new sermon series at The Gathering entitled “Wrecked and Rescued” and for this series we want to do something very special. If you have a story to tell of how God showed up in your life and has transformed you, your family, and your view of life, we would love to share your story during this series.
If you send us your story, or you interest in sharing your story, we will pick some of you to help us out during this series by sharing how you were wrecked and rescued.
Send us an email or a text and we will contact you with more details. I can’t wait to hear stories of how God rescued many of us and gave us hope again.
I hope to see you this Sunday!
A little over 100 kids are taking part at this week's Soccer Camp VBS. We are grateful for all the volunteers who make this happen. Fellowship Community Church and The Gathering Church partner together to share soccer skills, Biblical teaching, and the love of Jesus during these five sun filled days.
Please keep them all in prayer as they finish this week strong.
Make plans to join us on Saturday, July 22nd for an evening of ministry. Kids 1st grade and up will stay in the main auditorium for this service. We will have ice cream social following the worship time (about 45 min). We hope to see you there!
I can’t believe it is July already, where is the summer going? We had plans and things to do as a family for this summer. Things that were planned for months and months, which suddenly come and go or are just around the corner. I don’t know about you but after the summer I’m always left with memories and a longing to start planning again for next year.
A few weeks ago I shared a message called “Nothing New” where Solomon says: What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. –Eccl. 1:9
Solomon reminds us that outside of God nothing is new in this world; it is a repeating cycle that never ends or satisfies. But Paul reminds us that in Christ all things are made new and I am convinced that in Christ, life can be enjoyed to the fullest. So no matter how your summer is going if you allow Jesus to take full control of your life, you will be satisfied and complete.
I encourage you to keep growing in faith, to trust on God’s promises, and to allow the Holy Spirit to guide your life every single day. When we live for him, memories become proof of God’s faithfulness and not regrets of disappointments; He will satisfy your life.
I hope to see you this weekend at church.
Today is your last chance to buy a t-shirt and support our fundraiser to replace our fire alarm system. The new system is already installed and running. And even though we have not reached our goal yet, we believe God will supply for this need. Would you please consider making a donation or buying more shirts and supporting this cause? We know that we will reach our goal and you can be part of it. Thank you to all of you who have ordered a t-shirt and/or made a donation, God will honor your commitment to the church.

Outreach this Saturday
We will no longer be cooking breakfast at the church. We ask for volunteers to cook at home and bring prepared food to Church Under the Bridge by 9:30am. If you are unable to cook but would like to donate food items, please deliver to the church no later than Friday at noon. Thank you in advance!

The alarm system in our building is outdated and inefficient. We have been given several estimates and they all imply a total expense of more than $7,000. As we pull out resources to make this necessary expense, our goal is to raise all the funds for it without using our general funds. Would you please help us out by purchasing a shirt and/or making a donation? This will not cover the whole cost, but if we sell 150 shirts, we will raise around $1,800.
Thank you for your support!
